Oldies 107.5FM & AM1230

Clifton Forge, VA is home to the NEWEST Oldies Radio Station in Southwestern Virginia.

Introducing Oldies 107.5FM & AM1230 which is owned by WVJT, LLC a Todd P. Robinson station and is one of the 3 stations within the Highlands Media Group franchise based in Covington, VA.

Oldies 107.5FM & AM1230 concentrates on music from a period of about 25 to 60 years before the present day. That’s from the birth of rock n roll to the beginning of the singer-songwriter era of the early 1970s, or about 1955 to 1972, The very same Oldies music was also termed "classic hits" is and was used to distinguish the "new" oldies (the Generation X oldies) from the "old" oldies (the Baby Boomer oldies).

Oldies 107.5FM & AM1230 features artists such as Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Animals, The Four Seasons, and Sam Cooke; as well as such musical movements and genres as doo-wop, rockabilly, rock and roll, early rock music, Motown, British Invasion, early girl groups, surf music, teen idol singers, teenage tragedy songs, and bubblegum pop. We also mix in to our playlist the folk revival of the early 1960s that sometimes is forgotten. Listen long enough and you will even hear some of your favorite Classic Rock.

Oldies AM1230 was paired with a new frequency, 107.5FM on December 31, 2016 and can be heard all throughout the Alleghany Highlands.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, he’s the most successful musician and songwriter in history, having written (or co-written) thirty-two #1 hits, winning eighteen Grammys and earning sixty Gold records. He’s also the wealthiest (worth approximately $1.2 billion!). He’s a two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, both as a solo artist and as a member of a group called “The Beatles” (perhaps some of you have heard of them?)…HAPPY 76TH BIRTHDAY TO SIR PAUL McCARTNEY!
